As I write this, it is midnight. Unable to fall asleep, I decided to listen to some music. I didn’t put anything specific up, just pressing play. Seeing what would come up whilst staring in the dark. As I did, a song called: I walk this earth all by myself by EKKSTACY started playing. A keen track with a huge melancholic sound created by slow, reverbed guitars and vocals.

It is a light but perfect little tune, which creates this melancholic feeling. It also has another trick up its sleeve. The song uses a tape recorder to slow down and pause. It tricks first-time listeners and adds a new layer to I walk this earth all by myself. It is a neat little trick that makes it stand out.
